about
Munchu Picchu is a fictional restaurant inspired by the food and culture of mid 14th -15th century Inca civilzation. Abandoned in the mid 15th century during the Spanish Conquest of Peru, Machu Picchu serves as the main conceptual inspiration of the project, along with colorful and intricate textiles, ceramics and metalwork from this influential time period. The cuisine itself is inspired by modern Peruvian cuisine as well as more traditional dishes, presented in a 3-dimensional recreation of an Inca lunar calendar, which would sit on the center of the table at the restaurant.
